DO only read on if you are OLD…and truly know how to let the ball do ALL the work!

The Beijing Vikings can now happily announce the establishment of ‘The Beijing Vintage Vikings’, aka The Beijing VI(NTAGE)KINGS aka The Valhalla Pushers…. For those around ~35 years or older we’ve signed up a 5 a side team……in Division 9. So we expect it to be a ‘walk in the (Chaoyang) park’ from a football perspective but otherwise a good opportunity to meet new (old) people and to kick a ball around and also - more importantly - to establish a basis for a team that, down the line, can attend one or two 7 a side old boys tournaments in Asia every year. See attached shot from last year’s Shanghai Masters in October 2009 where the self-proclaimed ‘Beijing Oldies’ managed to get their asses in gear for a fantastic weekend. To be repeated! The team included Beijing Vikings Frank H, Jan E, Eskil and ex Beijing Viking Markku + our football trainer last year ‘Sambucca’ Steve Aldred and other players from various Beijing teams. Some of those will also be joining the Vintage Kings.
