Our first game after coming home from Singapore.  Some players were a little confused in the beginning due to the lack of massage tent, but it was quickly resolved It was a tough day considering all the players on the injury list, but we managed to get 13 players including 2 new players. It was very good to see the spirit amongst the squad both before, during and after the game. We truly proved to be a fantastic Vikings team.As Aaron said before the game – Enjoy it. We were playing a tough Russia team, but also a Russia team we knew we had a chance to take 3 point from if we played well. Russia has some key players, but they also have shown instability in the spring We came out fighting and I think the spirit and attitude was outstanding throughout the entire game. We tried to play football, and everybody was willing to fight and run for their teammates – that is the Viking spiritWe played good football in the first half and created a few minor chances, but not any big ones. More importantly, we kept Russia away from creating any chances. We were very good on corners and crosses and winning most of the balls in the air, unfortunately without materializing from it. Stian had a good header on goal in the beginning of the game. The score at half time was 0-0We came out with the same great spirit in the second half, and shortly in the half Michael K scored a stunning goal – could easily be nominated for goal of the year. It was Michael’s goal no. 3 for the Vikings After the goal we had a few small chances, including one to Niko, but unfortunately the keeper saved itRussia increased the pressure, and in the last 20 minutes we were forced to defend, and we defended well. They were given a penalty for handball, but Aaron saved it beautifully – great job Aaron.5 minutes before end they were given a cheap freekick on the edge of the box, and after several attempts they equalized to 1-1In the view of the entire game and injuries, I think it was a fair result, and all Vikings can be proud of their performance<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
